Spooky Season!
This is my favorite time of year, even if it is marked by my least favorite day of the year. I have always loved Halloween. The mythology of it, the costumes, the spooky stories, the makeup, the foods. Love all of it. If it could be October forever, I’d be a happy lady.
I have a lot of irons in the fire right now and time is getting pulled pretty thin so this month, I offer you a story instead of an essay. Once I figure out how things are going to work out with my new sidegig (more on that soon, after I get a few days under my belt) then I’ll know how best to plan and plot out my time. I’ve been very bad at that this month but the ground is starting to firm back up so it’s back to building good habits!
Crow’s Hollow Corner
I’m hard at work here on Christmas soap (some of which are a little dark and a lot of fun - if the experiment works the way it does in my head). This is the time, if you’re looking for something specific, to let me know as I let my soaps cure for several weeks before they’re ready to sell.
This month’s new soap is Medusa - it’s made with shed snake skin from one of the happiest snakes I know as well as lard, juniper, indigo, and spirulina. It doesn’t have a scent but it does have a lovely rich lather. The snake skin melts completely during the process leaving just the keratin.
